Our Skill Development Initiatives

Development of Industrial Training Institutes

ITI Khed

Bharat Forge set up an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Khed and has partnered with 3 more ITIs at Bhor, Malegaon and Karjat for their development and upgradation. The initiatives are directed towards imparting vocational skills to rural youth, in order to help generate employment opportunities for them.

Set up in 2007, ITI Khed started with 5 machining trades and went on to set up a communication lab in 2016 to improve the soft skills of 650 students. ITI Khed works as industry partner to Malegaon, Bhor and Karjat ITIs for infrastructure development and quality training.

ITI Khed also received the award of the Best ITI in Pune region for 2019 and 2020.

Recognition adding to our pride

On the occasion of 'World Youth Skill' Day, Bharat Forge Ltd. received the first award for 'Outstanding commitment and dedicated support as the industry partner' from the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Maharashtra.
Bharat Forge received the award for its industry contributions, both in 2019 and 2020.

Bharat Forge Ltd. received the award at the hands of Shri. Vidyasagar Rao, Hon’ Governor and Shri. Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar, Hon' Skill Minister, for developing and upgrading ITIs at Khed, Bhor, Malegaon and Karjat.

Changing Gears Initiative

Bharat Forge Limited has collaborated with CII and College of Engineering, Pune to support 180 graduates from the rural background. These students were trained in soft skills like communication skills, presentations, as well as provided with sessions on team building and motivation, stress and time management, and emotional intelligence to increase their employability quotient. Senior team members from the company also guide the students with the required technical skills.

Under the programme 'Changing Gears', 180 engineering graduates from rural background have been trained to improve their soft skills.

To impart high-end technical training for enhancing employability of the engineering graduates, Bharat Forge Limited introduced a Specialist Course in 'Radio Frequency and Microwave Technology' in 2019.

Kalyani Centre for Technology and Innovation (KCTI) Hyderabad of Bharat Forge Limited had signed a MoU with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) to impart specialised skills in Optics & Digital Signal Processing to the engineering students. The MoU aims to enhance vocational skills in Graduate and Post Graduate engineers, in order to bridge gaps between Industry & Institution.
