Mr. B. N. Kalyani (DIN: 00089380) is the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited, the flagship company of the Kalyani Group. With over five decades of leadership, he has steered Bharat Forge’s transformation from a regional player into a globally recognized leader in forging and precision engineering, catering to diverse industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, energy, and infrastructure. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its technological capabilities, strengthened its global footprint, and established itself as a benchmark for innovation and advanced manufacturing.

Mr. Kalyani holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani and a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. His academic background, combined with his visionary approach, has been instrumental in driving Bharat Forge’s success as a technology-driven organization.

Beyond Bharat Forge, Mr. Kalyani plays a pivotal role in shaping India’s industrial and economic landscape. He is a Member of the Prime Minister’s Science Technology & Innovation Advisory Council and co-chairs several high-profile international business forums, including the India-Sweden Business Roundtable. Additionally, as the Founding President of the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, he has been instrumental in strengthening India’s defense manufacturing ecosystem, driving self-reliance and indigenous capability development.

Committed to strong governance and corporate responsibility, Mr. Kalyani chairs Bharat Forge’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee and Risk Management Committee and serves as a member of the Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee.
