Mr. Amit Kalyani (DIN: 00089430) is the Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited, a global leader in high-performance forged and machined components. With over two decades of experience, he has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth, diversification, and technological advancements across key sectors, including defense, aerospace, automotive, and electric vehicles.

Mr. Kalyani holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s OPM program. He actively contributes to industry and policy forums as Chairman of the CII Smart Manufacturing Council and the FICCI Committee on HR & Skills, while also engaging with the World Economic Forum’s Digital Manufacturing and Automotive Governors forums.

Since joining Bharat Forge in 1999, he has transitioned from manufacturing to IT, finance, and strategy, playing a pivotal role in the Group’s strategic direction and business diversification. He leads finance, M&A, talent development, and growth strategy, overseeing domestic and international operations, ESG initiatives, carbon neutrality efforts, human capital management, and enterprise functions.

A key driver of expansion, Mr. Kalyani has led organic and inorganic growth, spearheading strategic acquisitions, global expansion, and technology integration. Under his leadership, Bharat Forge has evolved from a component manufacturer to a provider of integrated systems and solutions, capitalizing on high-growth sectors.

As Chairman of the ESG Committee, he has defined the company’s sustainability strategy, advancing renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency, and environmental impact reduction, leading to significant improvements in ESG performance. He has also played a critical role in aligning ESG and CSR initiatives, creating a unified sustainability vision that has earned industry recognition.
