Pratham Pune Education Foundation (PPEF) is a program that works with the objective of facilitating basic education for children belonging to the most underprivileged section of the community.
In addition to this, Bharat Forge conducts various activities throughout the year in coordination with Pratham, on occasions like Shivratri, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti, No Tobacco Day, Diwali, Children’s Day, etc. These activities offer the children opportunities to display their talents and also help them gain knowledge through interactive methods.
Under our health and nutrition objectives, we have collaborated with Pratham to conduct many health camps across different communities. This year, we conducted eye, ENT and dental camps in our communities in Ramnagar, Hadapsar, Mangalwar Peth, Janta Vasahat, Shivaji Nagar, Keshav Nagar, Lohiya Nagar, Mundhwa, Bhavani Peth, Panmala, Annabhau Vasahat, and Dandekar Pul.
A joint initiative with Pratham Pune Education Foundation & Jnana Prabodhini, Bharat Forge introduced the Pradnya Vikas Program to develop personality and leadership skills in the underprivileged areas in and around Pune.
Bharat Forge Ltd. introduced Anubhav Shala in 3 different communities in association with Jnana Prabodhini. This initiative started with the objective to encourage the creative aptitude and enhance academic performance of children in urban slums.
Its focus is on children whose parents work on daily wage basis. The activities include mind stimulating games, rallies, plays, study tours, etc. for children as well as developing creative skills, and imparting awareness regarding various social, education and health issues.
Bharat Forge undertook several renovation projects to strengthen the basic infrastructure for education. We consulted our construction engineers to restructure, repair and develop school buildings as well as for properly-planned construction of well-ventilated classrooms, all of which are key factors to create an effective learning environment for future generations.
