Bharat Forge, India's leading engineering & manufacturing conglomerate intends to take the next step in its 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' with a host of novel initiatives starting from 15th September until 2nd October, 2018. As part of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' movement, Bharat Forge intends to reach out to one lakh people by involving employees of Kalyani Group, villagers from 25 villages aided by Bharat Forge, as well as students and teachers from various schools.
This initiative commenced with an awareness rally held today that was flagged off by Baba Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge and Shri Dilip Kamble, Minister of State for Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. Also, present on the occasion were Amit Kalyani, Executive Director, Bharat Forge, senior representatives from the Company, social worker Dr. Dada Kodre and local Corporators – Umesh Gaikwad, Mrs. Pooja Kodre, Ms. Himali Navnath Kambale and Mangala Mantri. The rally saw participation of around 500 members including employees of Kalyani Group and residents from the vicinity.

Bharat Forge will be supporting this drive in three major areas, commencing with Swachhata - Cleanliness of surroundings, schools and communities/villages, rallies and door to door awareness for waste management and clean habits.
This noble initiative has been strongly supported and appreciated by eminent dignitaries from across various sections of society in Pune.
'Swachhata Hi Seva' is a campaign initiated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in working towards the national vision of 'Clean India' by 2019. As a responsible corporate with the objective of developing sustainable communities, Bharat Forge has embarked on this journey in support of the national campaign.
In addition to Swaccha Bharat, under school sanitation projects, Bharat Forge has built toilets in 20 schools and ensured maintenance of these toilets. About 5470 students have benefitted through these initiatives. Bharat Forge has also participated wholeheartedly in supporting Government of Maharashtra's Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyaan initiative to fight against the drought like conditions at many talukas. Bharat Forge has been working in Purandar, Ambegaon, Shevgaon, Pathardi, Koregaon, Patan, Panhala and Baramati Talukas for Jalyukta Shivar and achieved wonderful results by creating 443.45 TCM water storage capacity/by removing 4,30,454 cub mtr silt. Aided by these initiatives, about 1867.75 acres came under cultivation.
